Student and parent agreement

The College's policy is that all students and parents accept and sign the following agreement when a place is offered at the College.

 

Central Technology and Sports College is a Community

Central Technology and Sports College is a place where we learn to live together

Central Technology and Sports College is a place of work

Central Technology and Sports College is a place where we treat one another with consideration and respect.

To play my part and to make the most of my time at the Central Technology and Sports College, as a student I agree to, and as a parent I will encourage my child to:

 1) Be a good representative of the Central Technology and Sports College at all times

 2) Be punctual and explain absences with a note from my parents

 3) Wear FULL school uniform (which includes the blazer) at all times

 4) Avoid extreme hairstyles and extreme unnatural hair colour

 5) Abide by the rules on jewellery. The only jewellery which may be worn in College is a single plain stud in each ear lobe. NO OTHER VISIBLE PIERCING IS ALLOWED

 6) Abide by the rules on make-up. Very discreet make-up may be worn. All make-up will be removed where it has been used inappropriately

 7) Move around the College calmly and quietly

 8) Look after the College environment and buildings and treat them with respect

 9) Listen, concentrate and contribute to lessons and complete work to the best possible standard

 10) Complete homework outside of school hours and hand it in on time

 11) Treat books and equipment with care

 12) Have respect for others. This includes NOT using foul and abusive language to anyone

 13) Not have tobacco, flammable materials, alcohol, other drugs or any item that could be considered an offensive weapon in my possession at College, or to and from College

 14) Give prescribed drugs to the office in a named envelope at the start of the day. A signed parental note giving instructions for the use of the medication MUST be available in the student's planner

 15) Abide by the rules regarding the use of mobile phones and other electronic equipment, which is that they must be turned off during the College day. (mobile phones being used will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day)

 16) Abide by the College's policy on safe and appropriate use of ICT equipment, systems and the internet.

 17) Use the pencil case provided by the College to hand in valuables to staff where necessary.
